OUR Doggy Day Care and Training Centre. WHO ARE WE?

Our doggy day care and training centre offers 9500 sq. ft. of pure pup paradise. It is based within a purpose built converted building in Springkerse Industrial Estate, Stirling.

The owner and founder of Safe Paws (est. 2002) Shirley Macmillan is a qualified & certificated dog trainer and behaviourist (APDT/IMDT/dip dog psychology/APDT (UK). Shirley is also finished her APDT (UK) advanced dog trainers qualification which is regarded as the best dog training course within the UK. 

She also trained in the United States in dog day care management before she brought the "American" doggy day care concept over to Scotland in 2010.

Shirley is also a trade representative for the industry, creating dog day care license standards for REHIS (royal environmental health institute of Scotland) and training numerous dog day care entrepreneurs from all over the world in dog day care management and safe dog playgroup protocol.

We have up to 50 happy pooches join us every day to play, be dogs, learn, socialise and be loved by all our staff.

​​​What does my dog get out of this?

  • Your dog gets up to 10.5hrs a day in a safe, fun and fully dog proof crèche to play, learn, make friends and burn up that excess energy (in a responsible and health aware methodology) We also provide a structured "nap" over lunchtime.
  • Pooches will learn how to "speak" dog and how to play beautifully with their new friends. We teach basic manners, distraction recalls and more, all with force free positive training methods.
  • All our flooring is custom fit non slip rubber, we have dog play towers, play platforms, heated waterbed, games and nap room.
  • We have separate play areas and quiet zones for puppy nursery and our senior clientele.​






What you get from dog day care?

  • You can watch your dog all day on our LIVE web camera.
  • You will not need to walk your dog in the morning or the evenings. He will be happily exhausted at the end of a fun filled day with us.​​
  • We always train and handle our dogs with force free, positive training methods. Always promoting good manners within a calm but happy structure throughout the day.
  • We will also teach your dogs to play beautifully and help guide our "pet parents" on our positive training methods, should they need any help.
